Onething!

So I've decided to start livejournaling again. *pauses for applause.  Okay.  There is none*
Here we go.

This week I'll be headed for a conference in Kasas called Onething.
To say the least- i'm wiggin' out.

Onething is being held in Kansas City, Missouri and it will be taking place right next to the International House of Prayer (or, IHOP).  They have been praying at IHOP for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for more than 7 years.  And they're still going strong.

Chris, Joan and I will be leaving on December 27th for Onething KC.  I guess we're all going to be staying at the house of one of Pastor Pete's friends.  Should be pretty sweet.

We're suppossed to be meet up with other student campus ministers from around the nation at this conference to talk and encourage each other (OSU, UT, etc.).  I'm way way super excited for that portion of the trip.  But the part i'm most excited for is getting to go chill at International House of Prayer.

Like I said before, they have been praying at IHOP for 24hours/7days for over seven years now.  If you really think about it, that's not entirely difficult.  You just have to find a couple of crazy old grandmas, and their crazy old friends, and throw them in a room for about seven hours a day and feed them for about seven years.  Not entirely difficult.  But IHOP has been doing more than just that.  They have about 300+ missionaries praying, fasting, and worshipping constantly in their prayer room.  And i'm not talking about the one dude sits cross-legged, half-asleep, singing "I could sing of your love forever" over and over again worship time.  I'm talking about quality worship.  Like youth camp worship.  Like "I know I've sung this chorus seven times... but do you think we could do it just once more?" worship.  And we get to visit this place!  I could only imagine how cool that worship room is.  *pauses for a moment of imagination*

Anyway, this is where I will be spending my New years eve and new years day.  I hope you all find somewhere cool to spend your new years eve.  And if you find that its the day before new years eve and you have no place to go, catch a plane ride to Kansas City, Missouri.  We'll be there all week praying to and praising God.  And if you can't join us, just go ahead and worship Him wherever you're at, at that time.  We'll all have like a big worship-God-fest to bring in the new year.  But make sure to call so we all start at the same time.  It'll be sweet.  602-690-1982
